Attack the spear barrel with your weapon to build up the Hit Gauge displayed at the top.

Spear Barrel: Durability Test

A poor-quality spear barrel will be destroyed after the Hit Gauge is full, granting the Resonator a temporary Immunity to the surrounding Incinero Petal Pollens. A good-quality spear barrel will not be destroyed after the Hit Gauge is full. It can be used to assemble the Explosive Spear.
